Eisenhower Matrix
Explanation
The matrix has four quadrants: urgent & important (do now), important but not urgent (schedule), urgent but not important (delegate), neither urgent nor important (drop). Most people over-invest in the first quadrant and under-invest in the second, which is where long-term goals actually get done.
Example
A client emergency is urgent & important (do it now); learning a new skill is important but not urgent (schedule real time for it, don't let it get crowded out).
